Kaspersky leads independent security tests in 2025, achieving first place in 90% of evaluations

In 2025, Kaspersky business and consumer solutions were evaluated in 100 independent tests and reviews. Its products secured first‑place in 90% of assessments and placed within the top three in 94%.

The TOP3 metric reflects how successful a vendor was in independent comparative tests within a calendar year. By combining the total number of tests that a company participated in with the number of top three positions it took, the TOP3 metric delivers a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness and reliability of cybersecurity solutions for both enterprise and consumer markets. The metric draws from evaluations performed by recognised independent testing laboratories, including AV‑Comparatives, AV‑TEST, SE Labs, and other trusted test institutes.

Kaspersky business and consumer solutions regularly undergo a series of exhaustive, multi‑aspect evaluation programmes conducted by independent testing organisations. The year 2025 marked another successful chapter in the history of TOP3 metric rankings. During the 2013-2025 period, Kaspersky has taken part in more than 1100 independent evaluations, achieving TOP3 positions in 965 of them and attaining the highest scores amongst all of its competitors.

In 2025 Kaspersky EDR Expert became the first in the industry to successfully pass all tests in the AV-Comparatives EDR Detection Validation Certification test 2025, receiving the award Certified EDR Detection 2025. Moreover, last year the solution received the Approved Advanced EDR 2024 award from AV-TEST, thanks to its strong performance in detecting and classifying advanced attack tactics and techniques.

Industry recognition continues to affirm the strength of Kaspersky Endpoint Security, which received the AV-TEST BEST Protection 2024 award alongside consecutive BEST Advanced Protection and BEST Usability honours for 2024 and 2025. Its capabilities were further validated by successful outcomes in advanced Anti-Tampering 2025 test by AV-Comparatives. The solution also was honoured with the SE Labs Winner Enterprise Endpoint 2025 award, maintaining the Total Accuracy Rating results for consistent top-tier performance from 2023 Q3 through 2025 Q3.

Delivering consistently strong results in Advanced Threat Protection tests, Kaspersky Small Office Security earned the AV-TEST BEST Advanced Protection award and BEST Usability award for the lowest number of false positives in bi-monthly tests, achieving this double recognition for the second year in a row (in 2024 and 2025). In addition, the solution received the SE Labs Winner Small Business Endpoint 2025 award for outstanding quarterly test performance, including a continuous Top 1 ranking in the Total Accuracy Rating metric from Q3 2023 to Q3 2025.

Throughout 2025 Kaspersky consumer solutions have also continuously demonstrated outstanding performance in industry tests.  After Kaspersky Standard received the “Product of the Year” award in 2023, Kaspersky Premium has now earned the “Top Rated Product” by AV-Comparatives for the second year in a row, being honoured with annual Gold awards for the Malware protection test and Lowest false positives, as well as Advanced Threat Protection Silver and Real World Protection Bronze. Since AV‑Comparatives started its testing programme in 2004, Kaspersky consumer portfolio has garnered more yearly awards than any other vendor’s B2C solutions.

In 2025, Kaspersky Premium has also achieved a noteworthy milestone by successfully participating in the AV‑Comparatives Fake‑Shops Test. Demonstrating superior efficacy in the identification of fraudulent e‑commerce sites, Kaspersky Premium was awarded the Approved Fake‑Shops Detection certificate. This endorsement affirms the solution’s capability to provide users with a highly reliable safeguard for secure online shopping.

Among security solutions for home users, Kaspersky Safe Kids especially stands out as a parental control app – as it was once again named one of the most effective solutions for protecting kids online. The product received a certificate from AV-Comparatives for highly effective protection from inappropriate content.

“By regularly taking part in a broad spectrum of cybersecurity evaluations, we uphold the highest quality standards across our entire portfolio and stay in step with the ever‑changing demands of today’s users and enterprises. Consistently earning top‑tier ratings and industry‑recognised awards, we reaffirm our commitment to delivering truly comprehensive protection, so that both our corporate clients and home users can be confident that every facet of their digital lives remains safe”, comments Alexander Liskin, Head of Threat Research at Kaspersky.
