Triple 50MP Studio-Level AI Portrait

HONOR is set to cause an interference in the South African smartphone market with the upcoming launch of the highly anticipated HONOR 200 Series, which includes the HONOR 200 and HONOR 200 Pro. The HONOR 200 Lite officially went on sale from the 1st  of July. The brand took the opportunity this past weekend at the Hollywoodbets Durban July to exclusively debut the Series amongst South Africa’s A-listers and fashionistas before the official launch.

With the aim of continuing to be a leader in smartphone innovation, HONOR’s product team has collaborated with the legendary Parisian portrait photography house, Studio Harcourt, to co-engineer the HONOR AI Portrait Engine – a new photography mode that combines expert craftsmanship with advanced AI capabilities to deliver studio-level portrait photography on smartphones.

The HONOR 200 Pro features a powerful Triple 50MP Studio-Level AI Portrait Camera setup including 50MP Portrait Main Camera, 50MP Portrait Telephoto Camera and 50MP Portrait Selfie Camera enabling users to capture compelling images with the perfect balance of light and shadows in even challenging lighting scenarios.

We are excited to launch the HONOR 200 Pro from the Number Series in South Africa for the first time. This follows the success of the HONOR 90 – where the brand witnessed accelerated growth and eagerness from consumers. We continue to commit ourselves to bringing cutting-edge technology and performance to South Africa”, said HONOR South Africa CEO Fred Zhou. In 2023, HONOR launched its HONOR 90 Series. The device gained widespread popularity, which resulted in the brand achieving more than 600% sales growth by the end of the year and was named the fastest-growing smartphone brand in the country.

The HONOR 200 Pro also features the updated MagicOS 8.0, which promises an intelligent user experience with a range of AI-powered functionalities. It boasts a 5200mAh Silicon-carbon battery, offering hours of continuous usage on a single charge, and is equipped with both Wired and Wireless HONOR SuperCharge – ensuring users stay productive and entertained without battery concerns.

Alongside the HONOR 200 Pro, the tech giant will also launch the HONOR 200, which also supports the prolific HONOR AI Portrait Engine and boasts an impressive Triple 50MP Studio-Level AI Portrait Camera to capture images with exceptional detail and enhanced brightness. In addition to this it includes the Wired HONOR SuperCharge and 0 Risk AI Eye Comfort Display.

Availability

Soon to be available at local retailers and network providers, the HONOR 200 Pro will be available in Ocean Cyan and Black, while the HONOR 200 will be available in Moonlight White and Black.

Purchases of the HONOR 200 and HONOR 200 Pro will include free gifts to the value of R6 999, including an HONOR SuperCharger plus the cable, a screen protector, free postal repair with pickup and delivery service, a 3-year battery health protection warranty and a 180-day screen accident warranty, which excludes labour fees.
