Veeam® Software, the Data and AI Trust Company, today announced an evolution of its distribution strategy across Africa, designed to accelerate growth, expand partner engagement, and better support customers navigating increasingly complex demands around data security, governance, compliance, privacy and resilience.
As part of this updated model, Veeam has onboarded Mitsumi Distribution as a new distributor for East and West Africa, while continuing its successful relationship with Redington across those regions. In parallel, Axiz and First Distribution will now focus on South Africa, the Southern African Development Community (SADC), and the Indian Ocean Islands.
“Africa is a strategic growth region for Veeam, and evolving our distribution landscape is a critical step in ensuring we can scale effectively with our partners,” said Lisa Strydom, Senior Manager, Channel Sales for Africa at Veeam. “As organisations across the region continue to adopt cloud and AI technologies at pace, establishing trust in how data is managed, accessed and used has become critical. By onboarding Mitsumi and refining the focus of our existing distributors, we are creating a more agile, regionally aligned model. This enables our partners to support customers in building trusted, well-governed and resilient data environments as organisations accelerate their AI ambitions”.
All four distributors – Mitsumi Distribution, Redington, Axiz and First Distribution – will support both Veeam’s distribution and aggregation business, ensuring greater flexibility, improved regional coverage, and enhanced support for partners to scale adoption and deliver consistent customer outcomes across the region.
The refined distribution model aligns with Veeam’s broader strategy to help organisations move from reactive approaches to continuous, AI-driven data intelligence, enabled by the Veeam DataAI Command Platform. This supports a shift toward greater trust, visibility and control, ensuring data and systems remain resilient, secure and compliant as enterprises scale innovation.
The new structure strengthens Veeam’s ability to support partners and customers across diverse markets, helping organisations address regulatory complexity, enhance data security, and build the trusted foundation required to scale AI with confidence.
