Businesses in South Africa to Discover AI Innovations at Dell Technologies Forum

Dell Technologies Forum 2024 will bring together technology leaders and professionals on 7 November 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa, for an immersive experience focused on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Themed “Accelerating AI-Powered Innovation,” this year’s forum will demonstrate how AI is revolutionising industries by providing deeper data insights, enhancing productivity, and enabling new ways of conducting business.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge developments in AI, edge computing, cloud, cybersecurity, and more through expert-led sessions. Designed to equip organisations with the knowledge needed for successful digital transformations, the event will cater to a wide range of industries including retail, healthcare, education, telecommunication and more.

Doug Woolley, General Manager and Vice President for Dell Technologies South Africa, said: “AI is a transformative technology that is redefining how businesses operate. Dell’s approach to AI is comprehensive and integrated across every level of the AI technology stack, from accelerated compute systems to AI-powered storage and networking solutions. At Dell Technologies, we are committed to providing AI solutions that empower our customers to innovate and unlock their full potential; and Dell Technologies Forum will showcase how our broad portfolio of AI solutions—from desktop to data centre to cloud— are helping businesses embrace their digital future.”

At the forum, the E-Waste Recycling Authority (ERA), an organisation dedicated to e-waste management, infrastructure, and networks in South Africa, along with Dell, are simplifying the process of responsible and compliant e-waste disposal. An ERA e-waste bin will be available at the entrance of the venue, encouraging attendees to bring their unwanted e-waste. This initiative serves to support the development of a more sustainable circular economy in the country.

Dell recently received a Pioneers Award of Recognition from ERA. The award recognises Dell’s pioneering role in sustainability as well as its leadership in Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance and commitment to managing e-waste responsibly.

Dell Technologies’ speakers at the opening session include Todd Lieb, Vice President, Cloud Partnerships, Mohammed Amin, SVP, CEEMETA, Doug Woolley, VP, South Africa; among other specialists and subject matter experts.
