Westcon-Comstor celebrates partner CGTech on Palo Alto Networks Partner of Excellence award

Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa, a global technology distributor specialising in cybersecurity, networking and hybrid cloud solutions, is delighted to announce that its partner CGTech has been recognised as Partner of Excellence at the inaugural Palo Alto Networks Partner Xchange Awards.

The recognition highlights CGTech’s rapid growth and market impact, having achieved Palo Alto Networks Diamond Partner status on 23 February 2026, less than a year after joining the programme. The milestone places the company among a select group of top-tier partners in the SADC region.

CGTech’s success reflects a combination of strong technical capability, strategic market execution and close collaboration with Westcon-Comstor’s local team.

“Being recognised by Palo Alto Networks as Partner of Excellence at the inaugural Partner Xchange is a significant milestone for our company,” said Gary Meyer, General Manager for Sales and Procurement at CGTech. “This achievement belongs to our customers, whose trust and partnership drive everything we do. It reflects the strength of our partnership, the clarity of our strategic direction, and the consistent execution delivered by our team.”

Building partner success together

CGTech’s journey highlights the impact of strong collaboration within the channel ecosystem. Through close engagement with the Westcon-Comstor team, the partner has accelerated its growth, expanded its technical capabilities and strengthened its go-to-market strategies around next-generation cybersecurity solutions.

“At Westcon-Comstor, we partner in a real and meaningful way,” said Nickey Mannya, Director for Cybersecurity and Next Generation Solutions at Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa. “Our role is to stand alongside our partners, helping them grow through skills development, market strategy and opportunity creation. Seeing CGTech rise to Diamond status in such a short time is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of what strong collaboration can accomplish. Congratulations to Nick, Gary and the entire team.”

Accelerating growth in the cybersecurity channel

Meyer adds: “Achieving Diamond status within a short timeframe, including specialisations across Hardware Firewall, Software Firewall, and Prisma SASE, is a strong validation of our technical capability and the tangible outcomes we are delivering in the market. This recognition is also a testament to the support of the local Westcon team, whose collaboration has strengthened our ability to serve clients effectively. Our focus remains unchanged: enabling organisations to operate with confidence through secure, scalable, and high-performing environments.”

The recognition further underscores the growing demand for advanced cybersecurity solutions across Southern Africa as organisations modernise their digital environments and strengthen their security posture.

Westcon-Comstor continues to work closely with partners across the region to support skills development, enablement programmes and go-to-market strategies that help partners expand their capabilities and unlock new opportunities.

CGTech’s achievement demonstrates how focused collaboration between distributor, vendor and partner can translate into tangible market success.
