Westcon-Comstor reports 21.3% increase in H1 gross sales to a record $3.37 billion

Record first-half adjusted EBITDA reflects broad-based growth across technologies and regions

Westcon-Comstor, a global technology distributor specialising in cybersecurity, networking and hybrid cloud solutions, has announced record first-half gross sales of US$3.37 billion, up 21.3% year-on-year (H1 FY26: $2.78 billion).

Adjusted EBITDA* also reached a record first-half high of $86.7 million, up 13.5% year-on-year (H1 FY26: $76.4 million).

The results, covering the six months to 31 August 2026 (H1 FY27), highlight the growing role of value-added distribution in helping IT channel partners capture opportunities in a rapidly evolving market through specialist technical expertise, data-led insights, lifecycle selling and enablement capabilities.

The strong performance came against a challenging macroeconomic and geopolitical backdrop, reflecting resilient demand for the technologies underpinning organisations’ AI, digital transformation and cyber resilience priorities.

Gross sales saw double-digit growth across all three of the company’s operating regions – Europe, the Middle East and Africa (MEA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) – demonstrating broad-based momentum.

Recurring gross sales grew 20% year-on-year to $2.25 billion and accounted for 67% of total gross sales during the period.

Cybersecurity remained Westcon-Comstor’s largest technology category, with gross sales up 21.6% year-on-year. Networking sales increased 11.9% while data centre and cloud infrastructure delivered particularly strong growth, rising 75% as organisations invested in the foundations required to support cloud adoption, AI workloads and increasingly complex digital environments.

Westcon-Comstor’s transition to software and services-led repeatable business continued, with hardware representing just 28% of total gross sales. Hardware sales nevertheless grew nearly 24% year-on-year, amid a broader refresh cycle and heightened inventory planning in response to pricing volatility.

“AI is driving demand for the technologies at the heart of our business, but capturing that opportunity requires more than products alone,” said David Grant, Chief Executive Officer at Westcon-Comstor. “Our first-half performance reflects the strength of our specialist model and the role we play in helping partners build capability, develop repeatable revenue streams and deliver greater value throughout the customer lifecycle. This is where Westcon-Comstor continues to differentiate as partners and their customers respond to challenging market conditions by becoming more selective about where they invest.

“Delivering record first-half gross sales and adjusted EBITDA demonstrates the resilience of our business against a complex external backdrop,” said Callum McGregor, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Westcon-Comstor. “The breadth of the performance across regions and technology categories gives us a strong platform for the second half, even as macroeconomic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions and pricing pressures continue to shape the market. We remain focused on disciplined execution, while helping partners develop more predictable, services-led business models and capture opportunities across the technology lifecycle.”
