Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa Appoints Nickey Mannya as Director of Cyber Security & Next Gen Solutions

Westcon-Comstor, a global technology provider and specialist distributor, is strengthening its leadership team with the appointment of Nicodemus (Nickey) Mannya as Director of Cyber Security & Next Gen Solutions for Southern Africa. The appointment comes at a pivotal time as organisations across Southern Africa face escalating cyber threats and pressure to modernise IT environments, making security and innovation core to sustainable growth.

“Nickey’s experience is unique in that he combines deep technology expertise with a strong commercial background and a people-first leadership style,” said Louise Taute, Managing Director of Westcon-Comstor Southern Africa. “He understands that the future of distribution lies not just in supplying products, but in enabling tailored solutions that grow our partners’ businesses. His ability to listen, consult, and deliver results makes him the right person to lead this critical portfolio.”

Nickey brings over two decades of experience in technology leadership, sales, and consulting across diverse industries in Southern Africa. With a career spanning mining technology, financial services, marketing technology, and digital solutions, he has consistently driven innovation, transformation, and sustainable growth. His consultative approach and ability to tailor solutions to partner and client needs set him apart as a leader who builds lasting value.

In his role, Nickey will oversee Westcon-Comstor’s growing Cyber Security and Next Gen Solutions portfolio. He will work closely with both vendors and reseller partners, ensuring solutions are not only fit-for-purpose but also designed to grow partner businesses. Having been a technology leader as well as a business owner, he understands firsthand the challenges faced by resellers and is passionate about helping them thrive in competitive markets.

This dual focus, strengthening vendor alignment while accelerating partner growth, positions Westcon-Comstor to lead the way in shaping next-generation distribution.

Nickey holds an Executive MBA and is currently pursuing advanced studies in Business Analytics and Digital Transformation. His career has included leadership roles such as Chief Information Officer at Tysys Capital Group, Chief Technology Officer at Avatar Agency, and Director of Commerce & Technology Client Services at VML, where he oversaw large-scale digital transformation programmes across South Africa and EMEA

With his appointment, Westcon-Comstor is reinforcing its role as a partner-led enabler of secure, future-ready digital transformation across Southern Africa.
